Hands 2 Hearts: Hand Up, Not A Hand Out is a non-profit organization founded by Marlene Edwards in 2022.  Our mission is to uplift individuals and communities through a compassionate approach that provides a 'hand up,' not a 'handout.' We are committed to empowering those in need with the skills, resources, and support necessary to regain their independence and transform their lives. Through education, assistance, and community building, we strive to create a world where every person has the opportunity to rise above adversity and build a brighter future. Together, we can make a lasting impact and extend our hands to warm the hearts of those seeking a path to self-sufficiency and dignity."

It was Marlene's vision that everyone can use a hand up sometimes, to feel seen, heard and cared for. The little things can go along way. Tired of seeing people homeless, or in need of basic assistance she decided she wanted to start making a difference, one kind gesture at a time. Whether it's a a suit for a interview, access to resources, a hot meal or just a day of pampering, she wanted to start helping people get back to a formidable way of life.
